Scaffolding Boards

Scaffolding Boards are made from high-quality European Whitewood timber and meet the BS 2482:2009 standard. They offer a high level of strength and durability and can be reused for Scaffolding structures multiple times. These high-quality boards are designed to be used within your scaffolding system to provide a strong, durable and supportive walkway.

Available in 6ft, 8ft, 10ft and 13ft lengths, timber Scaffolding Boards should be securely laid onto transoms within the Scaffolding structure for safety, where they will provide a strong supportive walkway or platform to allow staff to access the building they are working on.

The heavy-duty scaffolding boards are 225mm (8 and 7/8 inches in imperial measurements) wide and 38mm (1 and a half inches in imperial measurements) thick, making them ideal for supporting workmen and various construction materials when erected on site.
Scaffolding boards are versatile construction materials that find application in various settings and industries. Primarily used in construction projects, scaffolding boards provide a stable platform for workers to access elevated areas safely. They are commonly employed in building construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair tasks, allowing workers to work efficiently and securely at heights. Additionally, scaffolding boards are utilised in industrial settings such as factories, warehouses, and manufacturing facilities, where temporary platforms are needed for accessing equipment, machinery, or storage areas. Beyond construction and industrial use, scaffolding boards can also be repurposed for DIY projects, garden landscaping, and furniture making, demonstrating their versatility and utility across different sectors and applications.

When erecting scaffolding, you should be sure to set it up on as even ground as possible to prevent materials from sliding should the scaffolding be at an angle. A basic set-up of scaffolding would involve these boards, the scaffolding tubes and scaffolding couplers which are all also available on our site.

These hard-wearing timber scaffolding boards also have a galvanised metal end band to extend the boards usage as it would prevent splitting.

Please be aware that as this is made from timber, which is a natural product, these boards like any wood can potentially expand and contract depending on storage and room conditions. We would also recommend that gloves are worn when handling these timber scaffolding boards to prevent splinters. Should you need to cut these to size, always be sure to wear breathing and eye protection.
