Size 8 Tube External Tube Connector (A8) Key Clamp Fitting
This External Tube Connector, also known as an A8 fitting, provides a connection joint for two tubes. It is important to think about what the load requirements of the application will be, as this key clamp fitting is not appropriate for structures that must bear heavy loads. If a more streamlined or even joint is required within a structure, we advise that our Inline Internal Tube Connector (A9) Key Clamp fitting is used as an alternative.
When using the External Tube Connectors within a system, ensure that they are at a maximum of 150mm apart from each other, this is to avoid the guardrail or handrail structure becoming weak. If there was a weakness within the application, then it would pose a risk of injury to its users if it were to fail.
Please note: This particular A8 fitting is only compatible with Size 8 Tubes that have an outside diameter of 48.3mm.
Manufactured from galvanised steel, this tube clamp has additional protection and resistance against the damaging effects of weathering and corrosion, therefore it requires very little to no maintenance after it has been installed.
