A fantastic looking, strong and cost-effective double leaf gate system, the 2.1m high double leaf standard bow top railing gates are a safe and secure way of adding access points to your fencing or railing perimeter. These high-quality metal railing gates are available in a range of widths from 2.0m up to 10.0m, this allows them to be used for many different applications including front or back garden gates, to secure driveways or for providing pedestrian or vehicle access to public spaces such as parks, sports areas or playgrounds.
Constructed from excellent quality galvanised steel, these 2.1m high metal bow top railing gates have been meticulously designed and constructed by our team of skilled fabricators, providing a high level of strength and reliability. The zinc coating of the galvanised steel helps to protect the steel from the damaging effects of weathering and rust.
So that the gate leafs don’t swing open when the gate is not being used, which can cause damage to the gate hinges and nearby property as well as potentially causing injuries to people nearby, each kit is supplied with a sliding latch leaf and a catch leaf to secure the gates closed when not in use. This sliding latch can be secured in place with the use of a heavy-duty padlock (sold separately) to prevent unauthorised access.
As well as the sliding latch and catch, each of these double leaf bow top railing gates are supplied with two drop down bolts. As the gate leafs can be opened and closed independently of one another, these bolts can be used to hold each leaf either open or closed, preventing them from moving which can again cause damage to property or injury to gate users.
So that these steel bow top railing gates can be installed in a wide range of outdoor locations, it is possible to have these gates with either dig in or bolt down posts.
Dig in posts – The dig in posts are suited towards areas where the ground is soft enough to allow holes to be easily dug. These posts are longer than their bolt down counterparts allowing a section of them to be placed into the hole and secured in place with the use of post mix (sold separately)
Bolt down posts – This type of post is ideal for areas where the ground surface may be too hard for holes to be dug, for example an area that has been surfaced with concrete. These posts feature a base plate which allows the post to be securely bolted to the ground with ground anchor bolts (sold separately)
In order to protect the steel from the damaging effects of weathering and rust, each gate, as standard is finished with a zinc galvanised coating. These provide the steel with a protective barrier, helping to prevent the formation of rust whilst giving the gates a great looking silver finish.
If you should require a gate which is a little more colourful, it is possible to order these gates with a professionally applied Polyester Powder Coating (PPC). These coatings don’t just look great but add a secondary layer of protection to the steel, further protecting it from weathering.
(Please note: lead times apply for the PPC finishes, please see the lead times when selecting a colour, or alternatively you can speak with one of our helpful and friendly team for more information and for custom colour options.)
In the unfortunate event that the PPC finish on your 2.1m high bow top railing gate should become damaged, it is possible to quickly and easily restore these coatings, and the protection that they provide, with the use of a touch up spray can.
Gate restrainers are an incredibly effective safety accessory for your 2.1m high double leaf bow top railing gates. These are very easy to install, with the strong stainless steel braided cable connecting the gate leaf to the gate post and as the name suggests they ‘restrain’ the gate leafs, preventing them from falling in the event of hinge failure. By stopping the gate leafs from falling, it can greatly reduce the risk of accident or injury to gate users.
