ISO: Accreditations Blog

As a business, First Fence take great pride in our company’s commitment ensuring we maintain the highest possible fencing standards in all aspects of the business; from our quotations right through to our instillation. To ensure we are at the forefront of the fencing industry, we work hard to ensure that we run a highly organised and efficient operation and this has been recognised as we are pleased to announce that we have achieved five certifications from the internationally recognised ISO 9001:2015 to ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 27001:2013 and ISO 22301:2018 Management Standards with ISO Quality Services Limited.

The ISO:9001 is a quality management system that can be adopted to any type of organisation. The system is focused towards the meeting of customer requirements and enhancing of customer satisfaction.

What did we have to do to obtain it?

To obtain the ISO:9001 accreditations there is an ongoing audit process which consists of a two-day audit attended to by a member of our staff, by an external ISO auditor via teams due to COVID restrictions- during which all our systems were reviewed and all supporting evidence. Additionally, all the data had to be sent two working days before the audit – this entailed sending 56 files and an additional 17 during the audit. Once all the evidence is approved you are awarded the accreditations. There is then a follow up conference call – 23rd February with the auditing company and you are audited every 12 months to ensure the standard is being upheld.

How long did it take take to get it?
