Having secure vehicle access to a site is crucial for overall site security and with our 9.0m wide Prison Mesh Gate you can allow vans and HGVs to pass through safely. The leaves can be opened both singularly and together for added convenience. Each wire intersection is welded in the mesh for added strength within the gate. However, due to the 1.8m height, this gate is more suitable for areas requiring lower security. The mesh has been specifically designed to be resilient to damage, yet it does not impede visibility through the gate.
To hold the gate closed a sliding latch bolt can be slid between the leaves – for added security, a Heavy Duty Padlock can be used to secure the gate shut. Padlocks are available in the customisation section. In either leaf of the gate a drop bolt is installed so that you can anchor the gate leaves in position when necessary. For the most accessibility, the hinges on this gate can be installed so that the leaves can open to a total 180°- 90° in each direction.
Is constructed using horizontal and vertical wires, which both have a diameter of 4mm. At 12.7mm high and 76.2mm wide, the apertures within the mesh structure are narrow enough to prevent climbing activity, but at the same time, still provide a great standard of visibility. Steel being Hot Dip Galvanized progresses through a temperature cycle upon immersion into and withdrawal from the galvanizing bath. Within this dipping process, uneven heating occurs, creating a temperature profile along the part being galvanized. This temperature profile allows the steels internal stresses to be relieved at different times in the immersion cycle. These stresses may cause changes in shape and/or alignment, evident with distortion and warping.
